The much-needed Shelter and Non-Food Items (SNFI) distribution has officially started in Chuil, Renk County, Upper Nile State. This three-day distribution, which will run through Friday, is drawing people from over four villages: Dini, Kurmayom, Unagat, and Chuil Center itself. For many families who fled violence from Greater Akobo, this marks the first massive SNFI distribution since they arrived in this area as internally displaced persons (IDPs). After enduring long journeys and difficult conditions, they are finally receiving essential shelter materials and non-food items that will help restore some dignity, protection, and comfort to their households.
CIDO is proudly on the ground, representing our local communities. Our team is there to ensure the process is transparent, fair, and reaches the most vulnerable — including women, children, the elderly, and new arrivals. We are listening to their stories, addressing concerns on the spot, and witnessing the quiet relief as families collect items that will help them rebuild a safer space.
