A women-led non-profit mobilizing communities across 5 states — delivering humanitarian aid, protection, and governance support where it matters most.
Three core pillars guide every community intervention CIDO undertakes across South Sudan.
A society that is free, just, peaceful and economically advanced.
Mobilizing communities to harness resources and generate local solutions.
Support to Local Solutions
CIDO is a women-led local organization conceived in 2013 and formally registered in South Sudan in 2016 to support local solutions on critical areas of social and economic development.
We operate in 5 states providing both humanitarian and developmental interventions to vulnerable South Sudanese — including returnees and refugees. Our 86 professionals deliver static and mobile services across the country, led by an Executive Director and a 7-member female board of directors.
CIDO is a member of 6 humanitarian clusters and collaborates with key government ministries and international partners to maximize impact on communities in need.
