CIDO conducted a successful Gender-Based Violence Awareness Raising session at Gai Tut Primary School in Chuil Payam, Renk County. Our team engaged with pupils, teachers, and school management on the importance of protecting children, especially girls, from all forms of violence, while emphasizing respect, safety, and reporting mechanisms. The children participated actively and asked very thoughtful questions. At the same time, we addressed health and hygiene concerns affecting many pupils in the school. We spoke openly about personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene for the older girls, handwashing, and how poor hygiene contributes to common illnesses that keep children out of class.
