Who are we?
CIDO is a women led non-partisan, non-profit making local organization conceived in 2013 and formally registered in South Sudan in 2016 to support local solutions on critical areas of social and economic development. The agency places emphasis on promotion of Peace and peaceful co-existence among communities as the benchmark for socio-economic prosperity.
CIDO operates in 5 states of South Sudan providing both humanitarian and developmental interventions to vulnerable south Sudanese including returnees and refugees.Our team is comprised of eighty six (86) young and talented professionals who provide both static and mobile services across 5 states focusing on three thematic areas – Essential Services, Protection and Governance &leadership. The team is Lead by an Executive Director and a 7 female board of directors who play an oversight role
CIDO collaborates with key government ministries in providing services to communities in need. CIDO is a member of 6 humanitarian clusters in South Sudan. We build synergies with national and international entities to coordinate and compliment humanitarian interventions to enhance quality access to services by communities in need and foster effective use of scarce resources.
