Provision of Emergency Shelter and Non -food items to IDPS and returnees .

CIDO has reached over 68,000 displaced people and returnees with Shelter and Non -food items assistance since 2017 in 5 states of South Sudan CIDOs’ mobile and static approach of delivering assistance has ensured that more communities in hard -to reach locations are actively engaged in defining solutions to emergencies like floods, conflict and epidemics. Through capacity building and community communication and engagement activities , the communities have been empowered to mobilize themselves and form various committees that are accountable and willing to be part of the local solutions to various shocks causing displacements of people , damage to property and loss of lives. CIDO team has constructed over 17000 temporary shelters and distributed blankets, mosquito nets, kitchen sets, sleeping mats to needy communities.15600 HH have benefited through cash vouchers to replenish their non food items and procure materials for construction of new shelters.
